Things that will keep me going this week: cotton candy dumdums, colorful houses, potted plants, abandoned pools, and picking crocuses from the neighbor's garden.
Things to look forward to: cherry blossoms, endless pesto sandwiches, pain au chocolat, postcards, earl grey tea, denim shorts, tchaikovsky symphonies, viggo mortensen movies, and expired 35 mm film.
I'm making every effort to escape the house while the good weather lasts. Which probably means I'll end up falling asleep on the porch in the sun and forget to charge my cellphone again. Whatever – I'm outie.

I love these pictures, they actually look like stills from an interesting movie. Hope the weather there lasts!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them! I've been having a fit of inspiration lately so I ran outside yesterday to wander the neighborhood. It's funny, even though I've lived here forever, there are always new things to photograph. That makes me happy I guess!
DeleteAnd all of a sudden I feel like making my very own "things that will keep me going - things to look forward to" list, because that might just be the best possible way to escape final semester blues.
ReplyDeleteAlso. These photos are beautiful. Enjoy the weather while it lasts! :)
xx
Yes! making happy lists is the best therapy to get through anything awful. I am glad you enjoy the photos. I plan to go outside again today, but I woke up so late as usual (11 AM). Unfortunately good weather never lasts...it's gonna get cold again tomorrow. *sigh*
DeleteOh stop it! I am getting so hungry thinking about pesto sandwiches and tea! You have a lovely blog here, thanks for checking mine out!
ReplyDeleteEhehehhehe - pesto sandwiches and tea are what I live on these days. Thanks for visiting Amanda!
DeleteOh such a beautiful pics!
ReplyDeleteYour post is so inspiring and made my day. Enjoy the weather x
I am glad you liked it! I enjoyed the 2 days when it lasted...sadly it's back to the cold, but no miserable snow so I should be grateful!
DeleteAhh it looks so bright & cheerful where you are, it makes me want to take a cool dip in that pool! And I love that you have a porch for naps in the sun :)
ReplyDeleteIt's also still quite cold right now - you might freeze in that water hahahaha! The porch is finally sunny again, which means I can catnap now.
DeleteHey dear I really like your blog! What about following each other? Also on bloglovin, facebook if you want...just let me know :3 <3

Deletehaha so naughty of you to nick the crocuses from your neighbour :D yes to more outside adventures and your beautiful pictures (and stolen flowers)! xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a bad child I am...can't be helped! And yes - adventures forever indeed, I want to camp outside (if only it was warmer!!)
Deletelooks like you're having the perfect weather for falling asleep in the sun on the porch or by the pool. it's making me really jealous on this crappy cloudy day when i have to work!
ReplyDeleteJoin me over here!!!! Actually...I have work all week and weekend as well. Le sigh - cannot be helped. Still, must find time for little adventures as spring creeps on.
DeleteThere is nothing quite as enchanting as the front of a house. It just holds so much mystery. And pesto sandwhiches are just the most delicious thing.
ReplyDeleteI just read your comment and you're right, we will weather this storm.
How are you anyway?
xx
Weathering the storm as well as I can. I am tired, but getting better. I hope to shoot (with my camera) something lovely this weekend, so fingers crossed for that!
DeleteI love pretty houses, but I always feel so creepy taking photographs of them.
Cherry blossoms, is there anything more beautiful in this world?

Definitely not, I can't wait until the finally bloom.
DeleteCherry blossom trees make me too happy, I shouldn't have so much love for a tree. Also, I plan to have a pastel coloured house, maybe with a cherry blossom tree in the garden, naturally!
