Foggy mornings. Dreaming about London before breakfast. Neon pink flamingos. Winter caprese sandwich.
I lost my pocket compass the other day, somewhere between the park and my front door. I only noticed when I saw the geese flying overhead, swift and fast, as if they were being chased by a storm, and I couldn’t remember which way was North. Troublesome. Especially when the days all kind of meld together, which is okay except when you wake up thinking it is Monday, but really it’s already Thursday and then your bones are all out of place. And then it's hard just to get out of bed.

such lovely words; you make mornings sound so magical. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really do love mornings, except I am usually so sluggish about getting up. In the rare instances when I do...I get to enjoy them ^__^
Deleteso in love with these pictures... they're beautiful! I love mist :) ... and mornings! the English breakfast looks so good!
ReplyDeleteI love mist too! Had to wake up at 6 AM to catch that. The English breakfast was good, though heart-attack inducing?
DeleteThese photos are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI miss seeing fog like this, maybe after winter is over :)
It's funny cause we don't really get fog in the summer, winter is the only time we get anything like this.
DeleteThis looks amazing. I just gained looking 5 pounds looking at it. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou have a great blog!
If you get a sec, check out my latest post... 'Gingham Peplum'.
I would love to hear what you think of it.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure I gained 5 pounds just eating all that.
DeleteI wish I knew how to use a compass. Is that strange?

I don't think so. With a compass, you think you can never be lost
DeleteThose are very beautiful pictures! The first especially!

Beautiful photos! The food looks so good, and those flamingos are so pink!! Compasses are pretty usually I try to find the north star but you can't really see it in Nyc because the sky is kind of polluted =/
ReplyDeleteI love an English breakfast (actually, just the bacon and sausage haha).
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough I never thought I'd use a compass again after swearing off hiking but when I was in NYC I had to pull my iphone out and use the compass app on that a couple of times!
Bacon and sausage are so good...and so bad for you hahah. I have to admit, I am probably still a decade behind times...I don't have smartphone yet hahha.
Deleteoh, the first picture is sooo twin peaks. how many stories seem to be about to happen!
ReplyDeleteLondon for breakfast sounds perfect!
xxy
That sandwich looks amazing. The last time I had a caprese salad or anything was last summer, at a fabulous restaurant in Niagara Falls (the Canada side). And fog is awesome. Flat-out awesome. It's mysterious and beautiful.
ReplyDeletePeople were looking at us funny because we were eating caprese sandwiches in the winter - it is a much more summery kind of food, but I was missing summer terribly and this made me feel better.
DeleteOh my goodness, your pictures are amazing! You make me want to be more creative and spontaneous with photography.
