Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

In the summer before I left for college, I had an inexplicable desire to run away from home. So I did. Or, I tried to. I ended up 3 miles away in another neighborhood next to a playground with my cheek pressed against a sun-warmed concrete wall, waiting for Narnia. But minutes passed and nothing happened. Then it was evening and I was sitting on a wooden bench swinging my legs back and forth while the sun lagged on the horizon. Then, standing awkwardly at the front door, listening to the murmur of voices and the clink of chopsticks against porcelain bowls. Somewhere in the southern sky, a storm was brewing.

  2. This reminds me of a movie, where a girl did a similar thing. When she came home her family weren't even searching for her and she felt like they had forgotten her already. And I remember thinking how much I could relate to her.

I think there's one in every family.
