English breakfast tea with toast. Hot pot ingredients. Winter cabbage.

January remedies for frozen fingers. Along with: scalding showers that turn your cheeks cherry red, and fire crackling on the hearth, and maybe, oreos with warm milk. Every night I sleep with my back against the wall as the wind howls and rattles the windows. I imagine I'm camping on the moon with only the stars for company and that makes everything a little more okay. It's cold out there, even for polar bears.

  3. Tea and toast is the perfect winter snack! I'm not really a hot pot fan though, I haven't had that in ages.

    1. I think I must live on tea and toast in the winter! I think I like hot pot mainly because it is such a social form of eating - my friend's mother also makes an amazing peanut sauce.

  4. I wish it were even just a little bit cold where I live! Going outside for 5 minutes is enough to get your cheeks flushed, ha ha. I hope you have a nice, warm, and cozy January :]

    1. Awake at 6 AM? I wish I could do that...I can't seem to get up any earlier than 8 AM. But yes early morning blue light with tea and toast - it really doesn't get any better than that.

    1. I am glad you enjoyed it! The cabbage does look strange doesn't it? It was one of the few living things in the garden.
